I recently went to Target to once again spend all of my money and I came across the most adorable Valentine’s Day decor from the dollar spot. Now, I must admit that I’m not a big fan of celebrating Valentine’s Day, but now that I’m married and a mother to the sweetest little boy, I’ve got to say that I like celebrating it now.
So there I was in the Target dollar spot for hours….HOURS! I scooped up some goodies all pictured here.? This is a simple way to add a little pink into your home decor.
When styling your shelves you want to make sure you do the following:
1. Create visual interest through height – make sure when displaying objects on your shelves that they have varying heights for a larger visual impact.?
2. Add greenery. OK, I know I don’t have any greenery in this photo, but I do have plants in other parts of my kitchen which balance everything.
3. Choose a color palette – it is important to have a clear and consistent color palette when styling your shelves. For instance, In my photo above I’m using whites and blushes for Valentine’s Day. I’m a neutral decor lover.?
4. Don’t overcrowd your shelves with stuff. You don’t want them to look cluttered.?
Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments.?
