Lumber was dropped off this morning. We couldn’t be anymore excited to see our house go up. We’ve had such a wonderful experience so far with our builders. Although, I think the workers hate the fact that we work from home and can stop over any time to check on our house.
Framing will start on July 11th and continue through July 19th. Crazy to think we will have the exterior shell of our home finished by next week. I’ve added a couple pictures below of our land with the lumber. You can see part of the staircase lumber below.
Can you spot part of the staircase? We have a beautiful staircase right when you walk inside our home and then another staircase that leads to the basement. One of the main reasons we picked this model is because of the staircase right in the foyer. I can’t wait to decorate it for the holidays.

Here is a current look at our land. You’re looking at our driveway, garage and side of the house. To the left is the sidewalk leading to the porch/front entrance.

Framing of the house
It’s been a long week, both professionally and at home. Jack and Zach were both sick with some sort of virus. Work was very busy for the both of us. Glad it’s the weekend and we can wind down a bit.
Framing took shape this week. Nebraska is going through a heat wave at the moment, so we feel for the guys who are framing our house. Framing should finish sometime today, but with the heat wave I wouldn’t be surprised if they finished next week.
I purchased the exterior lights a few days ago and I can’t wait to see them in person. I will have a blog post soon with all of the details/finishing touches I’m adding to our home. Stay tuned for that.
I’ve posted a few photos below for you to see. How exciting!!
