On June 10th, 2019 we broke ground! My oh my! We thought June 17th-19th would be when we broke ground on our land, but we drove by today and to our surprise we saw this! Isn’t it perfect? Our sweet home.

This is such a wonderful time in our lives. We’ve moved back and forth across the country together. We’ve lived in apartment after apartment and I wouldn’t take it back for anything. I believe you should live in an apartment until you know what you want to do with your life. I don’t believe in making rash decisions to keep up with what everyone else is doing in their own lives. If I acted like that, I wouldn’t have the amazing husband and life that I have today.
I know there will be road bumps along the way as we continue to build our home, but for now, I’m going to let it all soak in.
June 14, 2019 – Foundation Poured
We’ve really made some progress on our house. The foundation has been poured. Can you believe we broke ground less than 1 week ago? It still doesn’t change our October move-in date, as that is the timeframe that works for us and our schedule.
One of the main reasons why I picked this neighborhood is for the miles and miles of land you see. They won’t be building on that land anytime soon, as it’s farming land. which means we get these gorgeous sunsets right outside our door.

Looking directly at the photo above, you see the front of our house. Our garage will be to the right and the front entrance will be to the left. Our backyard will be facing the sunset.
